Kate is a University Academic Fellow at the University of Leeds where she works across the Division of Health Services Research (Leeds Institute of Health Sciences) and the Patient Centred Outcomes Research group (Leeds Institute of Medical Research at St James’s). Kate is a part-time General Adviser for the YH RDS. Her research has focussed on the collection and clinical utilisation of patient reported data and also understanding the quality of life and psychosocial impact of cancer. Kate chairs the British Psychosocial Oncology Society, co-chairs the International Society for Quality of Life Research (ISOQOL) Quality of Life in Clinical Practice Special Interest Group and is a chartered member of the British Psychological Society. |

Co-Deputy Director
Janine is Co-Deputy Director for RDS YH, co-leads the PHRADA team and is a generalist adviser. Her research specialty areas are pulmonary rehabilitation, prehabilitation, patient experiences and decision making for cancer treatment. She worked with the Cochrane Collaboration Airways Group on systematic reviews in asthma and COPD. For several years she was a public health commissioner leading a programme of self-care support for patients with long term conditions in Kirklees. |

Leeds Site Lead
Hajer is RDS YH Site Lead for Leeds and a Research Fellow in Applied Health at the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences, University of Leeds. She is a global health consultant with a rigorous quantitative and qualitative interdisciplinary approach. Through her educational and professional experiences, she’s had the opportunity to build a diverse skill set that has proven to be an asset as a consultant in global health research and health inequality.
Hajer is a graduate student from the University of Copenhagen with a MSc. in Global Health, where she also has completed her BSc. in Health informatics.
She has worked within organizations including the WHO, UNFPA, ICMHD and Danish Red Cross on global health initiatives in mental health, innovation, strategic communication, knowledge exchange, and research. |

Senior Research Fellow
Kate is a Senior Research Fellow in Applied Health at the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences, University of Leeds. She is a part-time General Adviser for the YH RDS. Kate's research interests include chronic respiratory disease; lung cancer and mesothelioma; stroke; continuity of care and patient and public engagement with research. She has experience of both quantitative and qualitative methods. Kate is a member of the European Lung Foundation Council and a trustee of the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund, acting as the Fund's Research Manager pro bono. She also has an interest in community matters and is Chair of Trustees at the Pudsey Wellbeing Centre and Chair of Harewood Parish Council. |

Information Specialist
Natalie is an Information Specialist working as part of the evidence synthesis team at Leeds Institute of Health Science. She works on projects that involve many different review types (systematic, scoping, diagnostic, rapid and economic) and is part of the Leeds Diagnosis and Screening Unit. Natalie also conducts RDS evidence checks, mini literature searches to see whether a proposal is novel and where it can complement existing research. |

Health Economist
David is Deputy Director of the Academic Unit of Health Economics and module lead for Health Technology Appraisal on the AUHE MSc in Health Economics. He conducts cost-effectiveness analyses within clinical trials and decision-modelling for health technology appraisals. He also conducts patient preference and health valuation analyses. David is lead health economist on over ten projects with a focus on haematology and surgery. |

Public Involvement Officer
Delia leads on public involvement for the Leeds spoke of RDSYH. She is based in Leeds Institute for Clinical Trials Research. Delia is a Wellcome Trust Engagement Fellow and is particularly interested in creative approaches to involvement and engagement. She has been recognised for her innovative involvement work, this includes contributing to national INVOLVE guidance and publishing a book chapter on public involvement in qualitative studies. She is deputy chair of the national RDS Public Involvement Community and an active member of the UK Participatory Research Network. |

Academic Lead
Professor Jane Nixon is Director of Leeds Institute Health Sciences and is an NIHR Senior Investigator. In 2017 Jane was awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to clinical research. As Deputy Director of the Clinical Trials Research Unit and the Skin Portfolio lead, Jane has been part of a successful team, developing a research portfolios as a clinical trialist working with clinicians and allied healthcare professionals in areas including cardiovascular disease, stroke, mental health and skin research. In addition, Jane leads an internationally renowned programme of research in pressure ulcer prevention and has delivered two large mattress trials (with a third in progress) as well as applied health research in areas including pressure ulcer pain, severe pressure ulcers, risk factors, risk assessment, and quality of life, with a strong practice focus. |

Public Involvement Co-lead / Senior Portfolio Coordinator (LICTR)
Holly is Co-Lead for Public Involvement in the Yorkshire and Humber region and Public Involvement Adviser for Leeds. She is based in the Leeds Institute for Clinical Trials Research (LICTR), and has worked supporting research portfolios for a number of years, including organising public involvement and engagement activities. Holly was a representative for LICTR in the School of Medicine Equality and Inclusion Committee from 2017-2020. She was acting PPI lead at LICTR for 12 months to cover maternity leave in 2021, and is the current chair of the LICTR PPIE Working Group. As part of her role with LICTR, Holly also works with Cancer Research UK as a member of their PPI Task & Finish Group and has been looking into ways to improve how LICTR approaches PPIE and how public contributors are supported. |

Principal Statistician
Isabelle is a Principal Statistician at the Leeds Institute of Clinical Trials Research where she has worked since 2012. She is based in the Surgical Interventions, Devices and Diagnostics (SIDD) Division and has research interests in the design and analysis of clinical trials of interventions in surgery and dermatology. Isabelle completed an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship in 2022 exploring the use of multi-state models for the design and analysis of pressure ulcer trials. |

Senior Information Specialist
Judy is a specialist advisor for evidence synthesis, with experience in many review types (systematic, scoping, rapid, realist, mixed-method, cost-effectiveness and qualitative). Judy conducts searches and screening for systematic reviews across with topic expertise in mental health, long-term conditions and global health. Judy also provides ‘evidence check’ literature searches to RDS clients to find evidence that demonstrates where the proposed research fits within existing research (i.e. if the idea is novel and is a priority area). |
